AZB & Partners Mumbai Partner Sayak Maity is leaving the firm to join White & Case in Singapore, according to reliable sources.

Confirming this development, AZB Managing Partner Zia Mody said,

"It's a wonderful opportunity for sayak. And I am sure he will shine. We wish him all the very best."

Sayak had rejoined AZB & Partners in October 2019 after working with Tata Group as in-house counsel. Sayak had moved to Tata in 2018 to be part of Shuva Mandal’s team.

Prior to Tata, he was working as a Principal Associate at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas. He had joined SAM & Co along with Shuva in 2015 from AZB & Partners.

Sayak focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and General Corporate practice.
