Former Co-Founding Partner of Anoma Legal, Sharad Joshi has joined SNG & Partners as a Partner in Corporate Practice at the firm's Mumbai office.

Joshi is a 2006 graduate of the University of Mumbai. He earned his LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law in 2008 from the same university.

Joshi has a decade-and-a-half of experience in Infrastructure Projects and Project Finance, with a focus on Energy and Transportation sectors. His addition to SNG & Partners is a significant step towards strengthening the firm's EPC, Projects and Project Finance practice, particularly in the large-scale and complex infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining SNG & Partners, Joshi operated as the Co-founding Partner of Anoma Legal for over 5 years. He has previously also worked at Krishnamurthy & Co and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Welcoming Sharad to the firm, Senior Partner & Head of Corporate Practice, Amit Aggarwal, stated,

“At SNG & Partners, a lot of our focus is on augmenting our Infrastructure and EPC Practices - right from due diligence, negotiation, creation of local permissible structures and other project-related documents, drafting of definitive documents relevant to the completion of the project, and seeing it through to financial closure. We are doing some path-breaking work in this area and Sharad’s onboarding has given the much-needed impetus to the firm. He has done a lot of advisory work in this area right from Contracts to Bid Processes and Drafting & Negotiation of onshore and offshore supply, civil and services agreements.”

Sharad Joshi, the incoming Partner, added,

"SNG & Partners has been representing major Infrastructure players in the country and has developed niche expertise in handling assignments in the areas of Power, Aviation, Roads, Bridges, Toll and Public Private Partnership projects, etc. The repertoire of my work in the sector of solar power will add value to firm’s Infrastructure practice. With my experience of not only advising numerous solar power producers on power purchase, transmission and distribution agreements, but also advising several Indian lenders in the financing of solar power projects, the firm will be able to provide end-to-end solutions in this sector.”

With this, the total count of the Partners at the firm stands at 24. Recently, Gaurav Sahay joined SNG & Partners as a Partner in Technology Practice in the Firm's Bangalore office.
