Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas recently declared a paid “Rejuvenation Break” for all the members and staff of the firm from December 25, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

The break recognises the tremendously challenging year the members of the firm have had as well as the increased uncertainty and anxiety caused by the ongoing rapid spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

The firm said that it was increasingly important to normalise needing and taking time to rest, especially given the urgency culture that the legal profession is expected to embrace. The decision was taken in view of the fact that absence of rest and rejuvenation is a key contributor to increased burnout and mental illness.

Proud that our firm not only recognises this, but is also able to walk the talk on mental well-being, by giving everyone this paid time off,” said Equity Partner Shweta Shroff Chopra.
