Skadden elevates Sharmistha Chakrabarti to Partnership

Following her elevation, Chakrabarti will be relocating from the Firm's New York office to the Singapore office.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates has announced the elevation of Sharmistha Chakrabarti to Partnership. Following her elevation, Chakrabarti will be relocating from the firm's New York office to Singapore office.

Chakrabarti is a 2008 graduate of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. She holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, 2012.

She advises clients in commercial and investor-state arbitrations in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, media, and oil and gas. She has worked on matters before the International Chamber of Commerce and the London Court of International Arbitration, as well as before tribunals constituted under the Arbitration Rules of the UNICTRAL. She also regularly provides strategic advice on drafting dispute resolution clauses in international commercial contracts.

Chakrabarti has been associated with Skadden for nearly 13 years, having joined as an Associate in 2012.
