Sneha Sharma and Kulvinder Nain set up Tathya Legal - a boutique law firm with a focus on intellectual property, media and technology laws, commercial legal advisory and transactions, and dispute-resolution.

Tathya Legal has its principal office in Chandigarh and the boutique firm is positioned to advise clients across intellectual property, privacy and data protection, technology laws, commercial contracts, corporate structuring, and regulatory risks.

Adopting a business-first approach, the firm emphasises clear legal strategy, risk mitigation, and long-term value creation tailored for its clients, rather than reactive compliance.

The founders - Sharma (Managing Partner) and Nain (Founding Partner)- are both IIT-Kharagpur alumni, having a background in engineering and law, with well over a decade of experience in advising Indian and international clients across complex IP, technology and commercial law matters.

Sharma is a seasoned attorney with over 12 years of experience in intellectual property (IP) law, with particular expertise in patent and design prosecution and litigation, general IP strategy, and advising technology-driven businesses. She also advises clients on the intersection of AI/Gen-AI and IP. In addition to IP, Sharma also brings experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and advising clients on privacy and data protection laws, technology laws such as the IT laws, media and entertainment laws, and employment laws.

Prior to launching the Firm, Sharma was a Partner at Sujata Chaudhri IP Attorneys.

Nain has around eleven years of experience in corporate and commercial advisory, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. His practice spans commercial contracts, corporate structuring, negotiations, and compliance advisory, with significant courtroom and tribunal experience. He also routinely advises clients on data protection laws, trademarks and brand protection, and employment laws.

Commenting on the launch of the firm, Sharma said

“Tathya Legal was conceived to address a clear gap we observed in practice - businesses need comprehensive legal advice that is not only technically sound but also commercially and technologically informed. Our focus is on helping clients build, protect, and scale their innovations and businesses with clarity and confidence, without having to run to different subject matter experts.”

Nain added,

“We aim to partner closely with businesses at every stage of their growth, offering strategic legal support that anticipates risks rather than merely responding to them.”

Tathya Legal is currently headquartered at 1128, Sukhna Golf Links, Mohali (SAS Nagar), 160103, Behind Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
