BharatPe General Counsel Sumeet Singh has been promoted to Chief Legal & Corporate Affairs Officer.

Singh is a 2009 graduate of Symbiosis Law School.

He has over 15 years of experience across fintech, banking, venture capital and regulatory policy. He has previously worked with leading law firms such as DSK Legal, AZB & Partners and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.

At BharatPe, Singh leads a team that drives the legal, regulatory, compliance and governance frameworks. He works with the management to shape and execute the group’s strategic, transactional and governance agenda - including M&A, fundraising, regulatory interactions and corporate structuring.

Singh had also led BharatPe’s multi forum litigations and subsequent favourable settlement with erstwhile Founder & MD Ashneer Grover and is the longest serving CXOs in BharatPe’s leadership.

He also serves on the Board of Unity Small Finance Bank as BharatPe’s nominee.
