Susmit Pushkar leaves Khaitan & Co to set up independent practice

Pushkar had been associated with Khaitan & Co for nearly two decades.

Khaitan & Co Disputes Partner Susmit Pushkar has resigned from the firm to set up his own independent practice.

Confirming his exit, Khaitan Executive Director Amar Sinhji said,

“Susmit is moving on to set up an independent practice. He has contributed immensely to the growth of our Disputes Practice and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.”

Pushkar is a 2004 alumnus of National Law Institute University, Bhopal. He earned his LL.M. in Corporate & Constitutional Law from Harvard Law School in 2009. He had been associated with Khaitan & Co for nearly two decades.

He has provided advice and representation to corporations and high-net-worth individuals in enforcement investigations and prosecutions, as well as in complex matters involving regulatory authorities, substantial arbitration claims and various business-related issues. He has represented prominent financial institutions and multinational corporations across diverse sectors such as information technology, defense, energy, infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, healthcare and alcoholic beverages, addressing a wide array of legal challenges.

He represents clients before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, tribunals and trial courts.
