Vertices Partners has officially announced period leave for #teamshevertices.
This leave is a one-day provision and will be available each month to all women – legal as well as non-legal, of the Vertices Family over and above the regular leaves and holidays that the Firm offers to all its colleagues. It will be on the sole discretion of the women’s decision as to which specific day they want to avail it.
This is applicable over and above the regular leaves and holidays offered by the firm. Women at the firm will have the discretion to choose when they want to avail it.
Speaking on the announcement, Founder Partner Archana Khosla Burman said,
“Well being of our Human Capital has always been at the forefront of all our policies and actions at the firm. While it is true that period cramps are not normal and with better menstrual health management, we can do away or at least minimize the pain we experience, the truth is that until that becomes a reality, innumerable women suffer from at least one day of terrible discomfort, PMS syndrome and period cramps that makes it difficult for them to go about their routine. There is a fundamental need to recognize that everyone’s health needs are different, and it is about time we do something that will create an actual difference in the way we approach health.”
The firm initiated a three-month long transformative program called #MenstruationMatters that enables women at the firm to better manage their menstrual health.
Having marked five years of completion in April this year, the firm is set to roll out a number of initiatives centred around its human capital.
Founder & Managing Partner Vinayak Burman emphasized on the importance of health and stated,
“Given one of the worst health crises that the humanity has faced, the biggest lesson is for everyone to imbibe the value of healthy living. As a Firm, we believe in fundamental initiatives and policies that truly make a difference in the lives of our colleagues."
During a span of five years, Vertices Partners has done over 250 deals and has grown from a four-member team to a 40+ member team.
