Vishnu Shankar joins Morgan Lewis as Partner in Privacy and Cybersecurity practice

Shankar will be based out of the firm's London office.

Vishnu Shankar has joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a Partner in Privacy, Cybersecurity and AI practice at the firm's London office.

Shankar is graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He hold an LL.M. from the Harvard Law School.

As a Partner resident in London, Shankar will represent clients in advisory, regulatory enforcement, litigation, and crisis management matters involving EU and UK data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, international data transfers, AI, children’s online privacy, and other digital and technology regulatory laws across a range of industries.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Shankar was the Head of Legal (Regulatory Enforcement) at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Before joining the ICO, Vishnu spent more than a decade in private practice, including as a partner, in London, New York, and Dublin, focusing on technology, data privacy, and cybersecurity law as well as intellectual property transactional matters. 

On his joining, Shankar shared,
