The Ernakulam district court in Kerala was witness to police searches after it received a bomb threat on Thursday.

The threat was delivered via email to an official email id. Bomb squads and K9 units were quickly dispatched to the crowded court complex.

The threat is believed to be a hoax and as of 1:00 pm, no evacuations have taken place. However, the court complex and its surrounding areas are being inspected thoroughly.

This is the latest in a slew of threats that courts across the country have received over the past year.

In April 2025, the Kerala High Court received a similar threat which proved to be a hoax.

This is a developing story.
