Filling in the blanks: Cyril Amarchand hires JP Morgan’s Assistant GC, Ruetveij Pandya

JP Morgan’s Executive Director and Assistant General Counsel Ruetveij Pandya is joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner in Mumbai office. A graduate of Government Law College in Mumbai, Ruetveij started his career at Nishith Desai Associates.

On the appointment, Managing Partner Cyril Shroff commented,

“Having known and seen Ruetveij grow into a fine lawyer over the past decade, we at Cyril Amarchand are delighted to have him as part of our partnership.”

He specializes in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, transaction & business structuring, financings and has a rich experience in the international capital markets and stressed assets space.

Ruetveij, who specializes in M&A and capital markets, said that he was “very excited” to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

This hire comes at the time when the firm is also seeing the exit of five of its partners. Star corporate partner Ashwath Rau along with his team of three partners – Ganesh Rao, Anu Tiwari and Dhruv Singhal are moving to AZB & Partners. Himanshu Dodeja is leaving for Blackstone.
