Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu transferred to Bombay High Court from Kerala High Court [Read Notification]

The Central government has notified the transfer of Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu from Kerala High Court to Bombay High Court.

Naidu J. has to assume charge as judge of Bombay High Court on or before March 20, the notification states.

Justice Naidu J was initially proposed to be repatriated to his Parent High Court in Andhra Pradesh according to the Collegium’s resolution passed on September 22, 2017. However. the Collegium had subsequently, superseded its earlier resolution and decided to transfer him to Bombay High Court. The Collegium resolution read:

“In supersession of the above recommendation, the Collegium resolves to recommend that Mr. Justice D.S. Naidu be transferred to Bombay High Court, instead of being repatriated to his parent High Court viz. Andhra Pradesh High Court.”

The Resolution stated that the supersession and the decision to propose Naidu J to be transferred to Bombay High Court was “in interest of better administration of Justice.”
