The Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) in Srinagar, which conducts proceedings virtually, disposed of 2,10,117 traffic challans between September 2024 and November 2025, a press statement issued by the Court said.

According to the press release, the Court presided over by Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Touseef Ahmad Magray also recovered a fine amount of ₹7.07 crore between the said period.

During the same period, the court recovered a fine amount of ₹7,07,06,850, reflecting a remarkable level of compliance and timely payment facilitated primarily through online modes.

The achievement, the Court noted, was the result of robust case management, enhanced coordination with traffic enforcement agencies, and growing public awareness about traffic regulations and digital payment mechanisms.

Judge Magray lauded the efforts of the judicial staff and traffic police, emphasizing that such outcomes demonstrate the judiciary’s commitment to promoting road safety and ensuring swift adjudication of violations.

The court expressed gratitude to the public for their cooperation and urged citizens to continue adhering to traffic rules to ensure safer roads across Kashmir.
