Khaitan & Co has recently announced promotions for the year 2014, with two of the firm’s Mumbai Associate Partners, Adheesh Nargolkar and Raj Panchmatia being promoted to equity partnership.
This move takes the total number of Equity Partners in the Mumbai office to 27.
Adheesh is part of the IP team. He joined the firm in December 2010 prior to which he was working with AZB & Partners. He was made Associate Partner, roughly a year ago in April 2013.
Raj, who is dual qualified to practice both in India and England & Wales is part of the Dispute Resolution team. He joined the firm two years ago, in April 2012 from Udwadia & Udeshi. Raj has previously worked at Mulla & Mulla.
The firm has also promoted 11 of its Principal Associates to Associate Partnership across Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.
The Delhi Associate Partners include Ashwin Bishnoi, Harsh Kumar, Prasenjit K Chakraverti, Gaurav Juneja, Diwakar Maheshwari and Rishi Kabir Bogra.
Mehul Shah is the only one to be made Associate Partner from Mumbai.
In Kolkata, Ratnesh Rai, Sucharita Basu, Arindam Sarkar and Nandini Khaitan have been made Associate Partners.
