Kochhar boosts Corporate practice in UAE with Baker McKenzie’s Faizal Latheef

Kochhar & Co. has hired Faizal Latheef as a Partner in its Dubai office. Faizal has joined the firm from Baker & McKenzie Habib Al Mulla.

Faizal has over 17 years of corporate and commercial law experience with specialisation in foreign investment, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and employment.

Faizal has previously worked in India with United Law Chambers and Kalkura & Associates, before moving to Dubai to join Hourani & Associates. Therafter, he moved to Samir Salloum & Co, before finally joining Baker & McKenzie.

Rohit Kochhar, Chairman and Managing Partner of Kochhar & Co. said,

“Faizal’s joining is an important development for our Dubai office as we continue to grow our corporate practice there.”

Kochhar has been on an expansion mode with 6 Partner hires in the last two months. The most recent addition was Jivesh Chandrayan in Delhi.

Other Partner additions include Sumit Phatela in Gurgaon, Gaurav Chatterjee in Chennai, Prateush Sharma in Mumbai, and Saloni Gupta in the Delhi office.
