The Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice recently conducted a drive at the Central Agency Section in the Supreme Court to promote cleanliness as part of the Special Swachhta Campaign 2.0 in Delhi.
As per the records available on Ministry of Law and Justice website, around 27,927 files were scanned and around 2,500 sq. ft. of space was freed in this section of the apex court.
The campaign, launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, aimed to promote the ideals of ‘swachhta’ (cleanliness) among government officers and employees.
It intended to achieve efficient space management and enhancement of the workplace experience in government offices.
The Special Campaign 2.0 was carried out from October 2-31.
It aimed at effective disposal of pending references, parliamentary assurances, public grievances, record management, disposal of scrap and weeding out of obsolete files.
About 27,927 files were reviewed as part of record management and around 2,719 Public Grievances and appeals were redressed under the Special Campaign as per the data available on Law Ministry website.
