Revanna is currently serving a life imprisonment sentence following his conviction in a rape case.

The present case involves allegations that Revanna coerced a woman to appear nude on video calls in exchange for securing a school admission for her son.

According to the prosecution, the complainant woman had approached Revanna in 2019 seeking assistance for her son's admission to a Kendriya Vidyalaya under the MP quota.

It is alleged that after obtaining her mobile number, Revanna repeatedly contacted her through video calls between 2019 and 2021 and demanded that she remove her clothes and appear nude on camera.

The prosecution further alleged that he recorded the video calls without her consent, stored the videos and photographs, and later threatened to circulate them to force her participation in subsequent calls.

The case invokes offences under Sections 354A (sexual harassment), 354B (assault or use of criminal force with intent to disrobe), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, along with Sections 66E and 67 of the Information Technology Act.

He has now sought bail in the matter. Advocate G Arun appeared for Revanna.

Special Public Prosecutor BN Jagadeesh appeared for the State and accepted notice on its behalf.

Prajwal Revanna was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Bengaluru special court in August 2025 in another case for repeatedly raping a domestic worker and recording videos of the sexual assaults. Trials in three other cases involving rape/ sexual offences are presently pending against him.
