Supreme Court Collegium recommends 6 additional judges of Bombay High Court to be made permanent

The Bombay High Court currently has 78 judges against the approved strength of 94 judges.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended that six additional judges of the Bombay High Court be made permanent.

The additional judges recommended for permanent appointment are:

(i) Justice Nivedita Prakash Mehta;

(ii) Justice Prafulla Surendrakumar Khubalkar;

(iii) Justice Ashwin Damodar Bhobe;

(iv) Justice Rohit Wasudeo Joshi;

(v) Justice Advait Mahendra Sethna; and

(vi) Justice Pravin Sheshrao Patil.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on Monday.

Bombay High Court at persent has 78 judges against an approved strength of 94 judges.
