Supreme Court Collegium recommends Bombay HC Justice Revati Mohite Dere as Meghalaya High Court Chief Justice

Justice Dere is presently the second senior-most judge of the Bombay High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium on Thursday recommended the appointment of Bombay High Court judge Justice Revati P Mohite Dere as Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.

The Collegium recommended her name for elevation in a meeting held on December 18.

Justice Dere is currently the second senior-most judge of the Bombay High Court.

Justice Dere was born in Pune and completed her LL.B. from Symbiosis Law College, Pune. She practised before the Bombay High Court and also served as a prosecutor for the Government of Maharashtra before being elevated as an additional judge in 2013.

Later in 2015, she became a permanent judge of the Bombay High Court and has continued serving since without any transfer.
