Provost, HSNC University, Anil Harish shared the seniment,

“The law is refined in debate, sharpened in disagreement and strengthened through disciplined argument.Through Ignis Juris, DMHSL is nurturing these very qualities. The courtroom rewards clarity, courage and character and those qualities are forged in forums like this... After over forty years in Law, I can say with conviction that advocacy is an art built on preparation and presence. Such initiatives teach students to think on their feet, listen carefully and respond with precision, skills that no textbook can impart.”

Ignis in Latin means fire, symbolising passion, spark, and transformation. Juris translates to law or justice. Together, it represents the curiosity, reasoning and advocacy.

Ignis Juris features competitions ranging from debates and law dramas to client counselling, case law presentations and a ‘Letter to the Chief Justice’ challenge. Each event is crafted to test knowledge, articulation, strategy and professional poise.
