Max Healthcare Institute Limited has acquired Yerawada Properties Private Limited for ₹200 crore for the development of a 450-bed super specialty hospital in Pune, on property held by Yerawada.

Economic Laws Practice (ELP) advised Max Healthcare Institute on this acquisition. The firm conducted comprehensive title due diligence on the properties/assets/approvals of Yerawada Properties and played a key role in structuring the transaction, including delineation of roles and responsibilities, allocation of risks and liabilities, and negotiation of the definitive documentation, including the share purchase agreement.

The transaction was led by Heena Chheda (Partner), with support from Vinit Shah (Associate Partner), Yash Modi (Senior Associate), Priyal Zatakia (Associate) and Anand Makhija (Associate).

Max Healthcare Institute is set to invest ₹1,020 crore in the development of the hospital. This will enhance their presence in one of the most densely populated areas in Pune with a state-of-the-art hospital offering world-class medical services to the people.
