Vertices, AZB, Anoma, JSA act on WinZO $18 million fund raise

Regional language gaming platform WinZO has raised $18 million in a Series B funding round led by Makers Fund and Courtside Ventures.

This is the first investment in India for both funds. Kalaari Capital, which first invested in WinZO in 2018 and led the company's Series A in 2019, also participated in the round, reported ET.

VERTICES PARTNERS represented WinZO and the Promoters, with a team led Associate Partner – Sohini Mandal, Associate Partner – Hardik Thakker and Associate Manager – Paul Albert. Managing Partner, Vinayak Burman provided strategic inputs.

AZB & Partners represented Makers Fund II Company Limited and Courtside Group with a team led by Partner, Sachin Mehta and Associate, Namrata Bhagwatula.

Anoma Legal represented Kalaari Capital with a team led by Partner, Arjun Sharma.

JSA represented existing investor Hike Global Pte. Ltd. with a team led by Partner, Manvinder Singh, Senior Associate, Anant Mishra and Associate, Divyam Sharma.
