BML Munjal University (BMU) is inviting applications for faculty positions at its School of Law (SOL).  

Established in 2019, SOL offers undergraduate degrees in B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and LLB; and a Ph.D programme in law.

The school is calling for applications for positions in law (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Faculty Associate).

Applicants with expertise in teaching intellectual property law, tax law, and commercial laws are especially encouraged to apply.  

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the minimum qualifications stipulated by the Bar Council of India.

Applicants with PhDs and postdoctoral experience will be preferred, however, those with excellent masters degrees from reputed institutions are also encouraged to apply.

For Professors and Associate Professors BMU SOL prefers the following attributes:

  • Achievements in research and academic publishing, with a plan for continued research upon hiring.

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to an experiential, innovative, and interdisciplinary pedagogy where law teaching speaks to other disciplines.

  • Interest in mentorship of junior faculty and students.

 For Assistant Professors, Lecturers, and Faculty Associates BMU values:

  • Ability to teach undergraduate students in an accessible manner.

  • Flexibility in teaching a range of core subjects in law.

  • Potential to publish in quality peer reviewed publications.

  • Interest in mentoring students. 

Shortlisted Candidates residing in India are expected to be available for an in-person interview on campus on 2 and 3 June. Those outside India will be invited for an online interview.
