Fox Mandal & Associates LLP is looking for a registered patent agent with a minimum PQE of 8 years preferably in the legal industry to join the Intellectual Property Team as a Senior Associate.
The position demands strong technical, drafting, and commercial skills with a willingness to work pro-actively in a growing team. Individuals with the right attitude & aptitude for professional services, a flexible and multi-tasking mindset are desired.
PQE: 8 Years
Qualification: B.E/B. Tech in Electronics/Computer Science/Telecommunication/Mechanical and Patent Agent.
Minimum 8 years’ experience working in Patents, especially Patent Searches, Drafting, Prosecution, etc.
Must be a registered Patent Agent.
Strong technical, drafting, and commercial skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills.
Commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail.
Business development aptitude, interest, and experience.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity.
Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and to take responsibility for these relationships; and
Willingness to help subordinates through mentoring and sharing experiences.
Law Degree would be an added advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct patentability searches including prior art search, benchmarking, white space analysis, competitor patent monitoring, landscape analysis etc.
Advise clients with respect to matters related to the area of specialty on FTOs, non-infringement, validity etc.
Draft specifications and file ordinary, conventional applications, national phase applications, PCT Applications etc.
Manage prosecutions by attending hearings, filing written submissions and responses etc.
Formulate patent strategies to optimise protection, commercialize and enforce clients’ rights.
Identifies risk and recommends solutions that help address the client’s objectives.
Assist in client networking, business development and practice development initiatives, as and when needed.
Build and maintain client relationships, provide support & guidance to other members of the team.
Undertake knowledge management, thought leadership & profile building initiatives.
Pro-actively correspond & communicate within and outside the Firm, on client and practice matters.
