Law firm AQUILAW is looking to hire Principal Associate for its Real Estate Practice in Mumbai and Delhi.

Positions: 2 (Two)

PQE: 7+ years in Real Estate

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university

Location: Mumbai and Delhi.

AQUILAW, a law firm with presence in Mumbai and Delhi, is seeking skilled and experienced Principal Associates to join its Real Estate Practice.

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with a Partner specializing in Real Estate, Infrastructure, Trusts and Estates.

Job Description

• Conducting title diligence by way of analysis of title documents and drafting title due diligence reports.

• Rendering legal opinions, structuring complex real estate transactions, and mitigating land related issues through legal advice and intervention.

• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, finalizing and procuring registration of transaction documents relating to, inter alia, sale, lease, gift, exchange, license, will, trust, joint development etc.

• Advise high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and corporate clients on real estate portfolio divestments.

• Carrying out registrations, filings, advisory and representational services before the relevant authorities as well as advisory services in connection with the Real Estate (Regulation And Development) Act, 2016 read with the relevant State rules and regulations.

• Interacting with relevant government and local authorities for client work.

• Client interfacing with confidence and skill.

• Handling transactions and matters independently.

• Supervising and mentoring junior level associates.

Required Skill Set

• Proficiency in English, Hindi and Marathi (reading, speaking, and writing)

• In depth knowledge and working experience with respect to real estate and property related laws including State specific land/ municipal laws and regulations

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for team goals

• Ability to balance quality and timelines while meeting client expectations.

Remuneration: Standard remuneration, according to market and experience.
