Sarvottam Law Offices is looking to hire Senior Associates with 5+ years of experience in New Delhi.

Number of Positions: Two (2; 1 each for Corporate and Litigation team)

PQE: 5+ years

Location: New Delhi

Qualification: LL.B Graduate

Job Description and Requirements

Corporate:

• Drafting and review of legal documents such as Term Sheets, Shareholders Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Lease Documents, Loan Documents, Security Documents, and Mercantile Agreements.

• Providing strategic opinions and advisory to clients in navigating complex legal issues including, but not limited to, areas of stock broking, insurance broking, start-up sectors, etc.

• Experience in drafting and vetting agreements and contracts like JVA, Vendor Contracts, Assignment Agreements, Financing Agreements, etc., legal due diligence, experience in handling general corporate advisory and corporate commercial transactions.

• Good knowledge of corporate and commercial laws like Companies Act, Contract Act, FEMA, RBI Regulations, LLP Act, Employment and Labour Laws, etc. is a pre requisite.

• Candidates with a Company Secretarial qualification and those having strong knowledge of SEBI Regulations and those having Transactional experience in M&A, JV, PE, etc. will be preferred.

Litigation:

• Drafting and review of legal pleadings, miscellaneous applications, writs, complaints, and other legal documents in diversified subject matters for various courts and tribunals.

• Independently representing the firm’s clients before various courts and tribunals as well as along with senior members of the firm.

• Preparation of case notes/ written arguments for the purposes of case management and briefings.

• Briefing of senior counsel engaged to appear in particular matters.

• Legal research in relation to assigned cases and areas of firm interest.

• Strong domain knowledge of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and experience in handling matters before NCLAT and NCLT.

• Candidates having knowledge and experience of handing matters under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, matters before Debt Recovery Tribunals and IPR will be preferred.
