Singhania & Partners LLP is looking to hire a Head - Practice Development.

PQE: 6-9 years

Qualification: Mass communication / Business Journalism / Master of Business Administration.

LLB will be highly preferrable, along with prior experience in a law firm’s BD/PD function.

Experience Level: 6-9 years of experience in professional services firms such as law firms / management consulting / financial services / industry chambers / media houses / data management in CRM.

An ideal candidate should have previous experience working on the front, end, and backend of B2B CRM systems like Salesforce and other content marketing tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Mailchimp.  

Job Description

The person would report to the CEO and support and closely work with the marketing and practice development colleagues comprising content writer, social media manager, CRM Manager, and graphic designer.

This role requires a delicate balance between managerial, relationship, and execution skills to accelerate the practice development plan of the firm. 

Data Hygiene, Management, and Data Analysis

  • Understanding of how CRM plugs into business and leveraging it effectively.

  • Understanding the CRM and workflows and ensuring proper data entry and regular follow-ups at the firm level. Regularly communicating with lawyers and secretaries at the firm level and ensuring that data entered the system is given due importance. 

  • Assistance in developing reports, dashboards, and MIS for actionable insights through reports and confirming data-driven and fact- based decision-making.

  • Coordinating with the CRM manager to develop and improvise MIS, Reports, and Dashboard to keep the Head of Practice Development and Managing Partner updated on trends, essential facts, and figures.  

  • Extracting and analysing clients/sector/geography focussed reports from the CRM and practice area profiles to provide actionable insights.

  • Develop market intelligence on competitors, existing & potential clients.

  • Generating insights and proposing solutions for expanding relationships with key existing and prospective clients on the firm's wishlist.

  • Implement business penetration initiatives with existing clients.

  • Tracking business portfolios and preparing an approach note and pitch decks with the follow-up steps, touchpoints, and timelines for each key client/ prospect as a part of the business development programme. 

  • Create and manage leads database & retrieval mechanism, including international law firms and tracking of legal conferences in India and abroad.

  • Assisting partners in managing relationships with industry chambers, forums, and other vital stakeholders.

  • Event management and analysing sponsorship proposals for their worth.

  • Independently working on developing marketing collaterals and practice area profiles per the pitch deck's requirements.

Essential Skills and Personal Traits

  • Self-motivated, proactive, innovative, sensitive, and strong team player;

  • Exceptional people management skills across hierarchies and critical thinking skills;

  • Expert user of Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft word, and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be an added advantage;

  • Scrutinising existing content on the website and giving inputs on ensuring the website is up to date constantly;

  • Experience in managing key client stakeholder relationships (internal / external);

  • Strong drive for results in a goal-driven organisation.
