1. Khushboo Aggarwal & Anr Vs. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India & Anr.

Petition challenging the second part of the TRAI notification on call drops which made it mandatory for the telecom companies to notify customers on dropped calls.

Today in Court- In light of the Supreme Court judgment on call drops, the Bench dismissed this case as infructuous.

2. Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi v Union of India, Rajendra Prashad v Govt of NCT of Delhi, MA Usmani v Union of India & Ors, Naresh Kumar v Govt of NCT of Delhi & Ors.

3. Child Health Organization v University of Delhi

Today in Court- This case pertained to admissions made under sports quota in the Delhi University and pointed out certain discrepancies in the procedure.

The Bench directed the Delhi University counsel to file a reply on the current procedure followed by the University of admitting students under the sports quota. The case has been adjourned to August 17.

4. Indian Optometry Federation v Union of India

[Item 6, Court 1- W.P.(C) 4731/2016]

Today in Court- Case pertains to directions against online marketing companies selling lenses & other optometry instruments without medical examination and proper prescription. The Bench directed the Union to file its reply in this regard and adjourned the case to August 29.

Today in Court- The counsel for both sides informed the Bench that a proposed settlement had been exchanged between both parties and the same had to be filed with a joint application of settlement. The Bench directed for the settlement deed to be filed within four weeks, albeit with a cost amount of Rs. 10, 000 to be deposited along with the deed.

The case will now be heard in September.
