Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Raghav Chadha has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights.

The matter is listed for hearing before Justice Subramonium Prasad on Thursday (May 21).

Chadha has sought an injunction against AI- generated deepfakes, manipulated videos, synthetic voice cloning, morphed visuals, fabricated speeches, and deceptive digital content circulated across social media platforms.

He joins the long list of actors, cricketers, politicians and other notable personalities who have approached the High Court in recent years over their personality and publicity rights.

Earlier, actors such as Anil Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan have secured injunctions against unauthorised use of their name, voice, image and likeness and AI-generated content.

Recently, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's personality rights were protected by the High Court.

Chadha has filed the suit through advocates Satatya Anand and Nikhil Aradhe.
