
The Central government on Friday cleared the appointment of judicial officer Vimal Kumar Yadav as a judge of the Delhi High Court.
An announcement in this regard was made by the Union Minister of State for law and Justice (Independent Charges) Arjun Ram Meghwal on X.
The Supreme Court collegium had recommended Yadav's name on July 28.
With the appointment, the strength of judges at the High Court will rise to 44 as against the approved strength of 60 judges.
On July 21, six judges had taken oath at the Delhi High Court.
