Deciding compensation for death of homemaker needs wide approach since money cannot make up for love, care of mother, wife: Delhi High Court
Justice Gaurang Kanth made the observation in response to an argument that in absence of proof of income and education, notional income of a homemaker could not be computed based on Minimum Wages Act
It is difficult to quantify in monetary terms the compensation for the death of a homemaker-woman since such compensation cannot make up for the love, care and warmth provided by the deceased person to her family, the Delhi High Court recently observed [National Insurance Co Ltd v.
