[Delhi Air Pollution]: Enforcement Task Force, 17 flying squads for implementing pollution measures: Centre to SC

In an affidavit filed before the top court on Thursday, the Centre also said that the number of flying squads tasked with conducting surprise checks would be increased to 40 from 17 in the next 24 hours.

A 5-member Enforcement Task Force and 17 flying squads have been constituted to ensure implementation of various measures mandated by the Court and the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (commission), the Central government has told the Supreme Court [Aditya Dubey v. Union of India].
