The Delhi HC may soon have a different address, if the Delhi Govt. has its way. As reported by the Asian Age, a proposal has been moved to establish a new building in Bapa Nagar area of Central Delhi..The Delhi Government has managed to secure 30% of the funding, in principle, from the Central government. The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 166.34 crore; with reasons behind the move including the need to increase the sanctioned strength of the court..This is not the only court in Delhi contemplating a change in location. Earlier, Bar & Bench had reported that Patiala House Courts may be shifted to a new location.
