Elections: Supreme Court dismisses plea alleging failure to enforce judgment on disclosure of assets by candidates

In 2018, the Supreme Court had ruled that a failure to disclose the assets of election candidates, as well as those of their spouses and dependents, would amount to a corrupt practice.

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a contempt of court petition which alleged a failure to properly enforce directions issued in 2018 by the top court to ensure the disclosure of assets belonging to those who contest elections [Lok Prahari vs Dr Rajiv Mani].
