GST- Revenue Department wants law students for a paid internship

The Revenue department is planning to induct students on an internship program to prepare the background work associated with the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST). The Revenue department is actively pursuing the work related to the introduction of GST in the country. The proposed GST regime is expected to subsume large number of Central taxes like Central Excise duty, Service tax, Counter Veiling duty and the State taxes and levies like VAT, Entry tax and Entertainment tax.
