The Delhi High Court today added three more judges to its ranks after Justices Vinod Kumar, Shail Jain and Madhu Jain and were sworn into office.
With these appointments, the strength of judges at the High Court has risen to 43 as against the approved strength of 60 judges.
The Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai and also consisting of Justices Surya Kant and Vikram Nath had recommended the appointment of the three judges earlier this month. They were serving as judicial officers before they were recommended for elevation as High Court judges.
The Central government cleared the recommendations earlier this week.
On Monday, six judges had taken oath at the Delhi High Court.
