Counsel Kartikeya Singh has also been promoted to partnership, taking Phoenix’s partner tally to nine, as first reported by Legally India.
Mrinal, a graduate of Campus Law Centre, started his career as a Research Associate with the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. In 2004, he moved to Tuli & Co and worked there for two years, after which he moved to Trilegal. Three years later, he moved back to Tuli & Co., joining them as a Partner.
Trinath is a graduate of NALSAR and started his career with Tuli & Co. He worked with Tuli for almost eight years before joining Khaitan Sud & Partners.
Phoenix Legal’s Delhi Partner Manjula Chawla spoke to Bar & Bench about the developments.
“Mrinal and Trinath will be based in Delhi, part of the litigation team. There has been a growing litigation practice in Delhi over the past couple of years. They not only specialise in insurance, but also in infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, and we have a strong corporate practice in these areas.”
A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore 2004 Kartikeya Singh has previously worked at ICICI bank, AZB & Partners and IFMR Capital Finance before joining Phoenix Legal.
On Kartikeya’s promotion to partnership, Manjula said,
“Kartikeya has been with the firm for three years, doing work in securitisation, micro finance, and structured finance, which he has been managing as Counsel. He will now work in these areas as a Partner, effective February 1.”
Phoenix Legal will now have nine Partners in its offices at Delhi and Mumbai and will look to expand to other cities in the near future.
