85 lawyers including 11 women conferred Senior Advocate designation by Delhi High Court: Read list

The Delhi High Court on Thursday conferred the Senior Advocate designation on 85 lawyers. Eleven of these are women.

As reported by Bar & Bench earlier, the decision was taken at a full court meeting held this evening.

A total of 231 candidates had applied for the gown. They were assessed and marked by the Committee for Designation of Senior Advocates and then the list was sent to the Full Court.

Sources added that 86 of the 231 candidates qualified under the criteria designation of seniors. The full court cleared 85 names.

The Committee consists of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Justices V Kameswar Rao, Nitin Wasudeo Sambre, Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) President N Hariharan, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Chetan Sharma and Senior Advocate Sanjay Jain.
