Delhi High Court seeks RBI's response on plea seeking probe into loans becoming NPAs

The Court also directed the Central government to file its response disclosing whether it has done any preliminary inquiry into allegations made in the petition and if it revealed commission of any cognisable offence.

The Delhi High court on Friday issued notice to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking investigation into loans extended by various banks and institutions to persons and entities which have become non-performing assets (NPAs) [Ankur Gupta v Union of India and Ors].
