Instruct staff properly: Karnataka HC after students forced to remove sacred thread at CET exam centres

With the NEET exams coming up in May, interim directions to prevent further incidents was sought for by the Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Maha Sabha.

The Karnataka government on Wednesday told the High Court that it has initiated a probe into the incident in which certain student-candidates were asked to remove their sacred religious thread before entering the examination centres for the Common Entrance Test (CET) held on April 23 and 24 [Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Maha Sabha v State of Karnataka & Ors.].
