[NDPS Act] Delhi High Court notice to Centre on plea challenging expansion of drugs definition

The plea said that if notifications are applied, 4 grams of heroin mixed with 50 kg of powdered sugar would be considered 50 Kg and therefore the person will end up being charged with commercial quantity.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Central government on a petition challenging two notifications expanding the definition of drugs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act [Rajeev TM v Union of India].
