Plea in Bombay High Court seeks removal of NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma for "invoking the baseless, communal concept of love jihad"

A petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court seeking the removal of Chairperson of the National Commission of Women (NCW) Rekha Sharma, based on statements made through her official Twitter handle.

The plea filed by activist Saket Gokhale claims that Sharma's mindset was not befitting someone who is responsible for preventing crime against women.
