Section 17 of Senior Citizens Act will not come in way of lawyer representing parties before tribunal: Delhi High Court

The Court agreed with a decision of the Punjab & Haryana High Court that had requested the Central government to have a relook into the provision, which bars legal representation before the Maintenance Tribunal.

The Delhi High Court recently held that Section 17 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 would not come in the way of a lawyer representing a party before the Maintenance Tribunal. [Pawan Reley & Anr v. Union of India & Ors]
