Supreme Court seeks response from MHA, Law Ministry, Law Commission in PIL seeking uniform law for adoption and guardianship

The Supreme Court on Friday sought the response of the Central government the Law Commission of India in a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking uniform grounds for adoption and guardianship across the country, regardless of religion or gender differences (Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay v. Union of India and ors).
