The Supreme Court Monday rejected a plea filed against stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi over his recent show 'Bas Kar Bassi,' which allegedly portrayed the judiciary in a negative manner..A Bench of Justice SK Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia, while rejecting the plea, also castigated the petitioner, advocate Farhat Warsi."Do you not have something better to do; and you are practicing (law) for 20 years you say? Dismissed. Not a matter for Article 32," the Court remarked..The plea claimed that Bassi's latest stand-up show on Amazon Prime, titled "Bas Kar Bassi," portrays the judiciary and legal fraternity negatively."In Bas Kar Bassi he has defamed the judiciary, legal profession and lawyers," the counsel argued.
