[Madhu lynching] Kerala High Court upholds cancellation of bail of 11 accused

The Court held that Section 439(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) empowers Sessions Courts, including Special Courts and Exclusive Special Courts to cancel the bail granted by the High Court.

The Kerala High Court on Monday upheld the decision of a lower court to cancel the bail granted to eleven accused persons who had allegedly beaten to death a tribal youth, Madhu in 2018 [Marakkar & Ors. v State of Kerala & Ors.].
