The number of inter-firm movements between Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners are ratcheting up. And the latest one to switch firms is AZB & Partners’ Sidhartha Barua who has joined Cyril Amarchand as Partner at the firm’s New Delhi office where he would be part of the firm’s Disputes Practice.

Barua, and a team of seven lawyers, have joined former AZB Litigation Partner, Percival Billimoria in AZB. The seven lawyers are – Umang Pathak, Juvraj Singh Bindra (as Principal Associates), Manpreet Lamba (as Senior Associate) and Shaurya Singh, Akshat Razdan, Madhav Khosla, Shivank Singh (as Associates).

Managing Partner Cyril Shroff commented,

We are delighted to welcome Sid Barua to our burgeoning litigation bench. We are already over 90 fee earners (including 14 partners) across the firm in the Disputes Practice”

Percy Billimoria said,

Sidhartha Barua, on his appointment said,

In December last year, Sidhartha was appointed the Additional Advocate General for  Meghalaya regularly appears for the State in the Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Faculty of Law and has obtained his Master of Laws from the University of Warwick in 2004.
