The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued an advisory against the use of saliva to affix fee stamps on Court documents in view of the pandemic.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued an advisory against the use of saliva to affix fee stamps on Court documents in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Administrative Order issued to this effect states:

“... all advocates/clerks to advocates and litigants should not use saliva for affixing court fee and stamps on the applications/petitions to be filed in the registry.”

The Order has been issued pursuant to health advisories to safeguard the health of persons involved in the judicial process and to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
