PIL in Madras High Court to allow public at parks, beaches till late hours to beat the heat

The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police (DGP) and the Commissioner of Police of Chennai to respond to a public interest litigation (PIL) petition filed by a city resident asking that citizens be permitted at public parks and on beaches till late hours to help them beat the extreme summer heat.
