The Supreme Court today issued notice to Bollywood actor Salman Khan in 2002 Hit and Run case..A Division Bench comprising Justices JS Khehar and C Nagappan issued notice in the appeals preferred by the Maharashtra government and the widow and son of the sole victim in the accident..Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal appeared for Salman Khan. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi appeared for Maharashtra government while advocates PB Suresh, Vipin Nair, KT Thomas, Udayaditya Banerjee, Prithu Garg and Rahul Srivastava represented the widow and son of the victim..The Bombay High Court had acquitted Salman Khan on December 7, 2015 prompting an outrage. The Maharashtra government had chosen to appeal against that decision after much deliberation.
